How about a new category...?
« on: November 15, 2009, 08:41:51 AM »
Pardon me if I have overlooked a proper heading, but I have not yet found one that fits what I have in mind. I would like a category entitled something like ...."Product Review..in my experience".
I would like to share knowledge we have learned about various available products. Baseball players or Hollyweird stars endorsing a product (for pay), doesn't speak loudly to me, but the experience of another hunter/shooter..speaks volumes.
I would like to know for instance..

 1) Some insurance companies claim they will provide repair coverage for vehicles of to 15 years old and 200,000 miles. That sounds too good to be true without outrageous rates. Whjat's your experience?

 2) There is a multi-tool which resembles an angle grinder, but uses  very high speed reciprocating blades that arte supposed to do just about any task on any material..even cutting moulding clean at the floor, wall or ceiling. Does it work as advertised?

 3) A couple months ago, I purchased a well known .22 hollowpointer and woul;d like to comment..such a category may be helpful
By adding.."in my experience"..that should help provide a disclaimer

I have the Fine tool Works great, but the blades don't last long and seem expensive to me.It'll cut about any thing and does as advertised.I've cut 3/4"oak flooring and trim very easily.Slow
