22-255 Barrel Length

Does the 22-250 need a certain barrel length longer than a 223?  Sort of like a 264 mag with a 22" barrel?

No, but...

There is more powder to burn in a .22-250 compared to a .223, so it would benefit from a longer barrel.  I have a 26" on my Rem 700 but I have seen a lot with 22" barrels.  I think this would make for a nice carry rifle.
