I have a few boxes of 308 Musgrave ammunition. They were in some ammo that I rummaged through at my grandpa's house. He probably had them for a year or somemore but they don't look that old. The box says that they are mfg to SAAMI specs and are designed to be shot in Musgrave or other standard arms manufactured to the same specs. It also labels them as 9.7g locked core soft points. Don't know anything about them, the writing on the box is Englist and German. The box doesn't say what grain they are so I have no idea what they might be, but the bullet is bigger than 150gr and may be bigger than 180s. I would like to shoot them but before I do that does anyone know what the Musgrave is? Is it safe to shoot in my a-bolt 308 or is there something unique about musgrave ammo that it is different from plain old modern day 308s. Hope somebody can tell me about this stuff, I don't want to hurt my pet 308.
