Perhaps a dumb question about barrel compatiability
« on: November 16, 2009, 06:10:35 AM »
I have an NEF 20 gauge that is 15yrs old now?  At least, it was a Christmas present when I was a youth.  Would this gun be compatible with a rifle barrel?  I would hop on buying a .308 barrel if it was.

Thanks!

Nope!
Take a look at the Faq's.

There is information about what serial numbered guns can have what accessory barrels.

Most likely not. If you look through the FAQ's listed above you'll find how to tell a SB1 from a SB2 receiver. Only SB2's can take rifle rounds like .308. Read through the FAQ's, they are the the eqivilent of a bible for Handi owners.

Welcome! Most likely the only rifle barrels that can be fitted to it are 357mag and 44mag.

No apology needed. I hate places where the only answer is "Read the Faq or use the search engine"

To answer this question adequately though..you really do need to read it.
