Hawkeye Tactical
« on: November 16, 2009, 04:31:09 PM »
Any one out there have first hand experience with this rifle, it's pretty new.

I have a 25-06 and 300WM currently. I am thinking of selling the 300WM as I have only hunted with it 2x in 12 years. I have a 45/70 that gets the nod most of the time.

I would like a bench rifle and the 308 is a lot easier on the wallet than the 300WM. It's light enough that it can double as a hunting rig. My other ruger's are both exceptionally accurate, especialy the 25-06. I had a rem700 6mmREM with a custom trigger job and heavy barallel hat did not shoot half as well as either of these guns did. I anticipate the tactical will be just as good.
