The patch is real, and NORTHCOM is real ... that it snuggles up and spoons posse comitatus is unnerving to me at least. That we have a shared security agreement with Canada is unnerving ... I think its hilarious that they're launching a pogrom up North over who knew what about torture of Afghan prisoners at the hands of the Afghan government. What was their other option? But I digress ...

TM7 is correct that visual symbols have been important, but stop a soldier on the street, any one you find, and unless they're in the 82nd or 101st they will most likely have no clue of the heraldry behind the crest on their sleeve.

People are freaking out over the Navy's use of the term "global" in its new motto ... Marines have had a globe in our symbol since the 18th century indicating "world wide service" - every Marine knows that.

Yes, the color of uniform patches seems to have slipped past my radar, don't tell the colleges about their school colors, or for that matter, any of the 200 plus units of the US armed forces. And don't tell the military that Russia's and France's colors are also red, white, and blue among other nations. I'm still waiting for the ice age that's two years past due. It doesn't matter though, the end of the Mayan calendar is coming to an end in 2012 so everything else is futile. I still feel jaded that the "hurricane disaster" season to be followed by a "weather invasion" the next year, was zero hurricanes this season in my area. TM7, is right, I don't "git it". But when George or Art Bell presents a better argument, and WRONG, I have to ask where is your evidence?

TM7, ahhh ... the proverbial appeal to the rationality of mankind through the proliferation of TRUTH. You've chosen the long war my friend, and sadly just when you get a few to listen, a new lie will need revealing. I applaud your diligence in the face of adversity - to sacrifice "face" in the pursuit of a noble cause is a worthy use of life.

I think things are much much worse than whether or not the US is moving towards unification with North America and the UN, so forgive me if I seem less concerned. There are larger forces afoot, and my action is to strengthen those who are most able to act.

I was replying to the topic. Anyone ever notice a complete spectrum of colors on soldier's uniform patches? I highly doubt that there is a conspiracy of the Army Calvary only supporting the Pittsburgh Steelers due to the colors of their unit patches. Symbolism not only symbolizes objectives it also makes for great fiction.

the un is communist but conniving, every nation in that group is just in a power struggle with each other... think about it

I don't doubt their intentions I doubt their ability to make a power grab without freaking people out of complacency

also, as soon as the un got REAL power to do more than attempt to pull strings (usually just stirring up more conflict) and take over some countries outright, the members would all fight it out to get top dog status within the un

think about it, russia couldn't even keep the warsaw pact nations in check... because communism always goes back to fuedalism (king state actually has a king and king has fuedal lords and those lords have vassals, and they ALL want to stab each other in the back)

that's why I like capitalism, you don't have to kill or be killed, just work till you have enough money to be content, yeah some people are cutthroat about it but they have to spend all that money somewhere

and no I'm not wealthy, I barely make more than minimum wage (under 30K for sure, va disability checks and full-time plus overtime work)

long story short the un can't really take over the us, but it can screw this country up worse (then again the progressives did in the early 1900's and the backlash was able to straighten america back out for the most part)

I don't know about the grit and pluck, but what TM7 has is, common sense, and the desire to use it.
It appears some on this forum, think the formation of the North American Union, is no big deal, and we have bigger fish to fry. They are doing away with the sovereignty of this nation, and when that is gone, and we have no borders, the constitution will be completely shredded What will we have left that once resembled the USA?

it's a tough decision:

isolationism and the death of free trade would slow the bleed on american wealth (though we're not on top anymore and probably won't be again.. it's too late for that) but would also stop the erosion of us sovereignty (my biggest concern)
it would also make it possible to break free of china (not gonna happen though, it just won't)

or we have free trade (sort of, we still have tariffs and "manufacturing" standards) and capitalism, but our borders are at stake

neither is evil/corrupt/wrong on principle it's how they're used

the problem is that communism wins by economics (assuming stupid people vote for it during a time of depression, which is the whole world right now COPENHAGEN) they make money through artificial regulation for awhile but it depletes the source of wealth (free trade) so they milk that more through careful regulation... then the money is all gone and a totalitarian militant government doesn't worry about money it's just bullying people into action

wealth is cyclical just like the seasons, if we keep trying to stop natural recession it just comes back later and much worse (like right now)
what's hard to understand about that? don't blame congress, blame dumb voters and the media

TM7 brings a lot of opinions, and info here that he gets flamed on pretty bad, but it just does not stop him. Gotta respect that, especially since he mostly keeps his cool in response to them. However, I don't agree with everything he says.

people aren't going to fight until they have to, social upheaval is costly and from what I've heard there aren't great retirement benefits for the trouble. maybe better than trillions of debt though, guess we'll see when the house of cards comes down on us

in the meantime, start mapping caves/speelunking (however that's spelled) because it's working overseas (but I live close to whiteman AFB, more bombs and all so it won't work for me)

Do you really believe that we should kill the messenger?
Someone has been pulling the strings of our puppet presidents for sometime. The goal is one world government. I personally do not care if you believe me or not but I would strongly suggest that you use your computers to look up the Rothschild family and read a couple of pages. If you control the money you can control the politicians.
There are secret organizations in this world that desire to control all of its wealth. To do so they must control the people that run things..
If you start by reading about the Rothschild family you will be starting to understand the secret organizations from the top down.
If after reading what I have recommended you wish to know more I would suggest looking up the "Illuminati" and if by chance any one may care to understand more look up "Bilderburgers".
There is much more but the afore mentioned should provide insight to some of the problems our nation faces today.
