These are armymen and armymen shot black powder cannons .... ::)

My wifes DAR chapter found this somewhere , I liked it so here it is ..Now these guys had some time on thier hands !!!

That's correct.  This picture almost gives meaning to the term "hurry up and wait."  As I recall this photo was made in 1918 and supposedly 17,000 men were in the photo.  I've always questioned that number, so someone get busy and count 'em.

DAR = Daughers of the American Revolution.  Gotta be able to trace your family back to a soldier in the ARW. 

That photo is one of a series : massed photos

Her people got over here in 1628 and 1632 . They been mixed up in every brawl we,ve had .
