rHey guys just wondering if you could tell me some of your most favorite loads for your 260.  I have several that shoot great but 6.5 mm bullets are hard to come by in these parts.  Deer season here opens sat.  But I have loads for 140gr. Hornady SP, 130 Nosler AB, and 120 gr. BT.  I've not a great fan of the BT, but it is fairly available around here.  I have several reloading manuals but just gonna see what you use especially for the accubond i've not played with this bullet very much killed two bucks with it last year and it worked great just ain't worked up a super accurate load yet.  As far as the 140 sp goes it shoots half inch groups very regularly.  Any help would be great thanks guys.

Though taken from established manufacturers' sources and presumed to be safe please do not use any load that I have posted. Please reference Hogdon, Lyman, Speer and others as a source of data for your own use.

I have been meaning to give H414 a try do you use it with the lighter weight bullets?  I have had good luck mainly with the the magnum powders in the heavyweights.  But H4350 has been great with the 120's.

Thanks guys, When I go to get some more powder i'll pick up a can of H414 and give it a try.  If I can find it around here every since last October or so powders been scarce around here.

I recently bought a 260, I loaded some bullets with 130gr accubonds, and 140 gr psp. Although I havent had a chance to shoot them yet.

I use 140gr core-loks over AA 4350 powder just a grain or two above the starting load. Shoots into about 5/8" in my 260.

I thought I would tag on here instead of starting a new thread.  I am going to start working on a load for a ruger hawkeye compact 260, it has a 16.5 inch barrel with a 8 inch twist.  I want to stay in the 120 grain area with a good bullet for whitetail.  If anybody has had any experience loading for a short barrel like this I would appreciate any info.  I haven't decided where to start so any place is a good as any.

I use IMR 7383 surplus powder(uses 15% less charge than IMR 4831) and a PMC 139gr soft point.  I can't remember the exact charge but it gets me .5"  from 243 Winchester brass.
