While I don't care for Lindsey Graham he did good yesterday. There was just no way to argue that. Holder looked like a 3rd grader (with all due respect to 3rd graders) trying to defend the decision.

you know when it was brought up that the man wanted to plead guilty and be executed it was also revealed that the Law Firm that Eric Holder had worked for had filed suit to stop military commisions as unconstitutional. that put the bush administration on hold at Gitmo.

So now they scream Bush did nothing to bring them to justice...and it was them that stopped him.

Just think if they took his plea then shot the sob. it would be over lot less cost no danger to national security secrets or personell. He would have no forum and New Yorkers would not have to fear some radiacl suicide bomber out to protest the trial.

so now i clearly see it as nothing but political BS i would not doubt that the far lefties would love to see the courts set him fre...to satisfy the radicals in the ME. they are so stupid they probably believe they would pack it all in and never harm us again.

I saw today they are going to put the terrorists pictures up on a wall at the WTC memorial! The victims get their names, but their killers get their pictures! That is so wrong. I get the feeling that the gov't is trying to goad the people to riot with all of the ridiculous decisions they are making. If ksh walks because he wasn't mirandized or some other technicality, will that be enough to anger the sheeple enough to finally say ENOUGH? Or maybe they want the people to riot so martial law can be declared?

I never understood these treasonous commie lawyers contention that somehow these no good scumbags are afforded rights under our constitution. They aren't citizens. They aren't even considered enemy soldiers. They are enemy combatants. Similar to the Germans who came to the U.S. during WW2 to commit acts of sabotage. They were tried by a military court and executed. I think where Bush went wrong is he never got a declaration of war against al qaeda and anyone else who would do us harm. If it were up to me these scumbags would have accidently
fallen out of the back door of a C-130 at 10,000 ft with no parachute on the way

I think there is a misunderstanding about what a declaration of war actually is. While President Bush may not have been handed a document that stated "declaration" and "war" by the Congress, he was given expressed permission to do whatever was necessary to fight terrorism. You can quibble about the word "necessary", but that is pretty much left to the Commander in Chief.

What happens if the NYC court convicts them as guilty although they have never been "Mirandized?" Does it mean a new "precedent" has been set for all U.S. citizens where our rights can also be violated in future trials? Correct me if I am wrong, but if these avowed "murderers" walk over a technicality, while getting a "world stage" to bash our country we lose as means to protect ourselves in all future "armed conflicts". And, if these Jihadist get their "just deserts" by being executed for their crimes, although they were never "read their rights", we also lose our constitutional rights along with our ability to fight these "thugs". Me thinks the "thugs" running this admistration are as dangerous as the thugs we are at war with

They will not be convicted in new york. If they were- everything that is right about the american justice system will have been proven wrong! There is ABSOLUTELY no way an unbiased jury could be found in new york for starters...... Isn't the surgeon general supposed to be the best surgeon in the country? I guess the attorney general doesn't have to live up to that standard huh?

I think the only reason they will be tried in New York is that if they were tried by the military and found guilty, Obama, as Commander and Chief, would have to approve the execution order. He does not want to go there because of his Muslim ties.

Look for the same thing to happen in the Fort Hood killings or for the killer to get declared insane. Obama will not approve a death sentence for a Muslim.

This is what I've thought should have happened [and been happening] all along.
I also agree TOTALLY with another post here...
The biggest mistake of the whole thing was/is failing to Declare WAR! on any/all of the organizations that have a name and publicly claim to want America defeated or destroyed.
Failing to do that is what opens up the legal can of worms.

BTW, that would technically include any & all members of the Muslin faith, whose "Bible" is the Koran, which very clearly states that anyone who doesn't submit to "Ah-Lah" must be slain.
No 3rd choice for "infidels" like me.
I suppose that must then include all the "sovereign states" that have that religion (Islam) as their first and highest authority. I'm OK with that too. When I was younger and "in-service" my superiors knew very well that I held that opinion/attitude towards "those people".
