Was at the club today and a guy was shooting an old Octagon bbl lever action rifle. I HAD to go look!! Was a over 100 yr old .32 special. Handed down over the years thru family. Said his Great Grand Dad bought it in the late 1800's!! Excelant cond!! BUT, there was a very small star stamped on the Tang behind the hammer. He said this was Marlins stamp of 1 in 1000. Is that true??? Also only a 4 digit ser no.
