Looking for a stock for a Rossi 92 SRC .357
« on: November 19, 2009, 03:21:27 PM »
I picked up an interarms Rossi .357 used today.  I got a pretty good deal on the gun, but the stock has been broken and glued back together.  It seems like whoever did the work did a pretty good job, but I'd like to order a new one....does anyone know who I can call to get one?

If you've got one laying around, you might try putting a post-64 Winchester Model 94 onto your frame, just to see if maybe it might fit.  A few months ago I had my EMF Hartford rifle (Rossi) with me when I stopped by my gunsmiths, just to chat.  The subject of what factory stocks fit what came up, and just out of curiosity, we put a 94 stock onto my 92 frame--didn't screw it it place, and I didn't replace what I already had, but the Winnie stock would have fit just fine, with minimal fitting, had I wanted to use it.  You may want to try this just to see. You might get lucky. Replacement 94 stocks, should you get lucky, are easy to find.

Actually, I got lucky and found a guy who has some of the factory stocks for the Interarms Rossi guns and he is sending me one...well, for about $100 bucks, he's sending me one.  I went ahead and got the forend to match.  I appreciate the response and I'll keep that in mind in case I break the stock (like the previous owner did).
