I have been working with tryin to find a descent load for my 1895gs since I started reloading just a few months ago. Well after several range trips and different loads, I finally settled on one. I have been using imr4198 with Hornady 300gr jhp. I got home today and had to load the ammo before I went to the range. It had to be today because hunting season opens shortly and I have been allmost too busy. After about 3 fouling shots i finally got it sighted in at 50 yds and I then set up another target up at 100yds and shot a group of 5 just to see how the loads were grouping. It may not be as good as some but I think I did ok. Here is the target at 100 yds. This is an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper. I'm pretty excited about it. I used 48grs of imr 4198.
Oh yeah, it was with a scope.
