mtbadger,

I just set mine up on the shooting bench.

We have a very large shooting bench and the Lead Sled fits nice on the top.  25 yards one way, then can move to the other side for the 50 yard, 70 yard and the 100 yard target stands.  Its our own private range, and so no worries about some one getting in the way or hurt when shooting.

Thanks for the replies.  I have had to use the hood of the truck or the tailgate before.

I thought the coffee smell was because I am in Seattle right now!  Gee whiz there is a bunch of cars on the road all at once over here...and nobody waves back when you wave at them as they go by...

They all wave back over there you just got to look close cause they only use one finger.
the nation that forgets it defenders will itself be forgotten

I'll have a cup of the Java. We're in the 20s right now, but you know, we typically get your weather once you guys are finished with it, so I'll drink my Java in contemplation of what's on its way East. ;) Did you Montanans get snowed on recently? I heard something about us having a blizzard on its way that is supposed to leave 2 ft. of the white stuff.

Man I just can't imagine that...  :-\  What the heck do y'all do when it gets that cold?  Hibernate?   ???  Just think... y'all spend half of your life snow/cold bound.   :o  Having to spend that much time indoors you'ld think the population of the northwest would be bigger then it is!    :-\  But then, maybe toes and fingers are not be the only things that get frost-bit and fall off!   :D

HEY!   :o   Is that why some people play with those little cannons!?  Is there symbolism running amuck out there!?   ???

Cold weather isn't all that bad (not talking extra severe cold temps). You just dress up really warm and go out and enjoy it. We ride snowmobiles when it's 10-20 below zero. Nothing like trampling through a snow covered forest when the snow is not too deep. Cold temps are invigorating. Breathing clean, cool air is awesome. You really should get some warm clothing, gloves, boots, and head gear, and visit a northern state during the winter. You might enjoy it so much that you never leave. I'm not sure everyone who lives in the snow belt would agree with my assessment, but that's the way I've always felt about the northern climate.

I hear JB. Sometimes it gets so cold here that words freeze in the air. If you want to hear what someone said, you have to grab a handful of sentences and take them in by the fire!

Compare extreme weather!

It's August is Hotlanta.  Humidity is 111%.  You take all your clothes off and you're still hot and sweaty.  Even if you do go out side you still have to cut the grass.

December in Cut  Bank, -22 and you have put on a long sleeve shirt until it goes back up to Zero. And you only have to cut the grass once a year, and that's called harvest, and Coors buys the cuttings and makes beer out of it.

And then there is this...The nearest traffic light is two counties over and the Prosecutors Office has one person...partime.

I remember it got below zero a couple of times here.  Watched it all from my frost glazed window.  Went out once for a moment, but decided it wasn't worth it.

Long as ya dress for it yer fine Richard.  Can always put more clothes on to get warm, can't take enough off to cool down if it's 95 and the humidity is 98.  'Sides, momma likes to snuggle close when it's cold and that's a GOOD thing. ;)  If the snow "squeeks" when ya walk, ya know it's cold, don't need a thermometer to tell ya it's below 0.  DP

I would love to live over there, compared to here in Kalispell.  As you know, Kalispell is growing at a rate that is not real likable to some of us over here.  Economy has slowed down things some and subdivisions sit empty.  But, Cutbank has always appealed to me when driving thru on my way to some place else.

Cutbank is my kind of town.
