Making Cartidges

Does anyone that has one of Dom's GB cannons have pictures of their cartridge making process and/or tools. Or can you describe it. I'm having trouble finding the stuff I need. CRS must be blocking the thought process.  Many thanks in advance.

I use a small pill bottle that is the right size ,anything round and not steel that is the right size .

Just roll up some heavy wieght foil around it about 3 wraps  ,tape it closed I then slip the tube of foil of the mandral(pill bottle) part way then fold the foil over against the bottle bottom and tape then pull the foil off the mandrel . Load it with powder ,the fold over the open end and tape .

Thanks DD. I've seen and used that post before. I was having  a problem with finding something to wrap the foil around. I found a pill bottle that might work. I'll look for a 1.5 inch wood dowel, too.

I got it figured out now. Found a wood shaped milk bottle that is a little over 3 inches long and 1.5 inches diameter. Wrap the foil around the wood and stick it into a 1.575 piece of ABS pipe. Werks like a charm.

I roll heavy duty foil on a 1 1/2 inch dia pvc pipe.  Slip of the formed cup and flatten the bottom with a dowel.  I measure out the BP that I need and put it into a plastic sandwich bag.  Trim off the excess plastic and put the BP bag into the foil cup.  I then twist the end of the cup shut trim off the excess.

Spuddy,  How tall are your foil packets when finished? I want to get a ballpark figure for cutting my ABS pipe for the outside former. Thankyou.

The 400 grain ones, when finished, are about 1 inch in height.  Before I fill them they are about 3 inches in height.

Do you have any problem with them turning sideways when putting them down the bore?  I've been making mine close to 2 calibers long just to make sure that won't happen.

No.  I tape them to the golf balls.  No problems.
