Tried Something New In 8x56R

I usually load 205 grain bullets for my Steyr M95. Got a hold of some 150 grain SP's and gave them a try.
150 Grain JSP
35.0 Grains IMR 4895
Win LR primer

I realy like this rifle. I get 50 yd. 1.25" groups from RL-15 and 200 gr .329 bullets from Buffalo Arms Co. These bullets match my bore (This gun is not the same size 8mm than the Mauser). I would love to find a way to put some optics on this and see what it could do at 100 yds.

I have a couple of those, but have never reloaded for them.  I picked up a case of the Nazi ammo when I got the first one and found out it shot about 12" groups at 100 yards.  Haven't shot it since.  I have another one, new in the wrapper with cosmoline on it, that is unfired from the factory.  Someday I will try again to see how they shoot.  This time I am going to have a shoulder pad tho....  Most of my other military rifles will bust up clay pigeons at 100 without problems.  Styer wouldn't.  I see yours will tho.......

I have no idea what 60 year old milsurp ammo would do. I had the fixings and the tools to reload the 8X56R before I got the rifle in. I have never fired anything but my reloads in it.

Now I got some 208 grain Prvi Partizan bullets to try. But of course, they arrived the day after my range shut down for the winter. :'(
