45-70 vs 500 S&W

In an Encore 15" barrel, which is a better hunting round for bear, moose, etc, the 45-70 or the 500 S&W?

Depends on how big of a whole you want in the animal. Either will do the job.

     Have no experience with the 500 at all, but the 45-70 is simply absolute FUN!!!  And, it's versatility is just endless, specially in an Encore.  From black powder and pure lead boolits up to loads that are more than I want to shoot. :D ;D :D  Walt
