Can a Topper rifle barrel safely go on a Topper shotgun receiver?

  I have two rifles that were made (357 & 30-30) in the 1980's that basically are Toppers and both are fine with the normal factory
loading. The new SB1's are sold in 357 &44mag and I have a 45/410 mounted on one of them that is fine. I also have a H&R Handi
 Gun( Also 80's ) in 20ga & 44mag that has no prob;lem. No high pressure cartidges should be attempted  Fred

i have a 1979 Topper shotgun frame i'm shooting with a late model 357 mag barrel with no problems......my favorite gun

From what I can tell it is ok to do so. I don't think the receiver they used at that time was anything special. I think it was about the same. as the present day SB1. As a fan of the Topper 30-30 barrel in which I have three. I have mixed and matched with the Topper frames and SB1 frames as well. DISCLAIMER: REMEMBER DOING THIS COULD LEAD TO PROBLEMS
