Reloading the Hornady LE (short) cases
« on: November 24, 2009, 05:19:46 AM »
Are you guys reloading this case? If so, are you doing anything different to acquire a good load?  I just finished loading some of the 45 70 and had 4 LE cases in the batch. I just seated the bullet to the same OAL. Is this the thing to do? Tell me what you are doing with it?

I am using mine for nothing. In addition to the length mine are smaller in diameter at the base than SAAMI spec and show a bulge above the case head that looks so much like the warnings for case head seperation that I tossed all the spent brass form every case I fired and have bought no more.
If he's carrying a singleshot, don't expect a warning shot!
