have a 93 2500 dodge 4x4, last year with solid axle. has 5.9 gas engine, 410 gears,4 speed o/d manual.a real serious work truck and that is how i use it. power steering pump seals only trouble. fuel economy about as expected. 8.5-10.0 with goose neck 14.0-14.5 empty, which is seldom.have had it since 95 and not worth anything as a trade but will do anything a new $36,000.00 truck will do and not worry about a ding.would have bought a tundra in 04 that had a 2,500.00 rebate and dealer wanted 25,096.00. i offered even 25,000.00 they refused.,so got a 1500 sierra that listed for 5,000.00 more than the tundra for 23,500.00 after rebates.it has been a dependable truck no trouble whatsoever at 50,000 miles, other half has 05 avalanche also new with 139,000 miles. it has needed water pump, front ujoint, tuneup all at 100,000.has also had to have two tailgate latches and sparetire lock cut off due to rusting.all in all i cannot complain about either the dodge or general motors. i will consider either gmc or tundra next trade, with best cash deal probably being the clincher. i flat do not like dodge styling at this time.
