Pretty hard to trap anything during rifle deer season in my part of the country.  I always pull Novemeber 14th and reset December 1st.

Same as ASA with  land sets for canines or  body grips for coon.... I do leave some water sets in  though for mink and rats.... had a concientious  deer hunter  ventilate a coon caught in a mink set this morning... now its worth nadda!   Ive had that happen to fox and yotes yrs back but learned to pull them before deer season.... Will be setting  some canine sets... sunday afternoon or  monday   ... dont think many hunters will be out this weekend as there arent any deer about... hunt registration is already   between 25-30%  below last years....

I have question about trapping in snow as I have never done it ,but am wanting to.
Just how do you trap in snow ?
What do you protect the traps with so they don"t freeze up? Do you put"em in a bread bag ?
I know you can"t dig holes in frozen ground to well so I'm assuming that you lay them above ground
during snow season correct ? Walk me through this please ......I am wanting to learn this area related to snow trapping. Thank you .
