Andy, I hope you had some clams, crabs and lobster. Our Thanksgiving was rain, drizzle and sleet. I carried the .357 Max all day except for Thanksgiving dinner around 2 p.m. and the rifle was a mess when I came in. It is the first Thankgiving in 20 years I haven't seen a deer. It is usually our luckiest of days. I broke the Handi Max down and sprayed it with Strike Hold, wiped it down, sprayed it again and wiped it down again. It looked like a new rifle. I wiped the scope lens and put her up for the night.
O.K. guys, this is not a commercial. I bought an insulated, hooded Winchester coverall from a guy on ebay. They were only 59.99 plus 13.00 S&H new with tags.....about a 150 dollar set. Supposed to be waterproof and breatheable. Well, heading out this morning the old truck started spinning in the mud and wet grass, so I got out, turned the hubs and put her in 4 wheel. When I knelt on the grass to turn the hubs, I quickly found a river under the grass. I thought, "Oh crap, now I've got a soaker all day". None of it came through. With that, the rain, snow and sleet I stayed dry and ventilated all day. I'm impressed.
Well, tomorrow is another Handi day. I'll be out early. It's getting late, and no new venison in the freezer.
Pete
