I just bought a SB2-223 and I'd like to get a 20 gauge barrel for it. Will I need to modify the forearm any or just screw it on??

Your forend will work fine for the 20ga, the monte carlo butt likely won't work tho, the comb will be too high, so you may want to buy a standard stock for it, either from H&R or from the H&R classifieds here.
You may just want to buy a complete 20ga Pardner tho, they aren't that much more than an accessory barrel and a stock, they sell for $120 here, were just on sale for $99.99 a week ago, a used barrel from the classifieds here would be less of course, fit it yourself.
