Here is her Thanksgiving buck and number two for her. She's hunted hard since youth season and finally got a legal buck within her range. We had been watching this 2.5 year old 8 pointer with a 12" spread (not legal for us since the 13" rules have gone into effect) at 20 yards since day light when this little little buck came out at about 120 yards. He slowly made his way towards us and into her effective range. She was calm as anything, now me on the other hand, I felt like my heart was about to jump out of my chest and the rapid breathing. It has been many, mnay years since I've had buck fever but this little guy and watching her sure did me in. After closing to within 100 yards she carefully took aim and BANG! The buck turned a flip and started walking off, yes walking, he went less than 10 yards before falling over with a perfect shot. The best part of the entire hunt was the HUGE hug I received as my guide tip! She 9 years old and is using a TC encore with youth stock set in .243 Winchester. Enjoy the pics:
