Adjusted Draw Weight
« on: November 30, 2009, 07:28:47 AM »
Here is one for you all to scratch the old noggin about. I actually did the calculation for an adjusted draw weight when properly selecting an arrow. If you go to carbon express's web site it will tell you what all you need to add and subtract when doing this. I shoot a DXT with a 60 pound draw, when I calculate all the things in this chart it tells me I need an arrow for a 76 pound bow.

This would explain why the carbon express arrows I bought won't fly straight, I got them to light. I shoot a 60 lbs DXT, 28 inch draw, 28 1/2 inch arrow, 80% letoff. To look at the chart it says I need a 250. That will not work, I am shooting radial x weaves now and the chart says I need a 200. If you do the math on the chart and you look at the charts it always says adjusted draw weight. Well once the math is done I need a 300 X Weave, that 300 fly's like a dream. I need in gold tip a 7595, a C E 350, and X Weave a 300. Yes to look at the charts I am shooting to heavy a spine, but take the adjusted draw weight chart figure it then see what you think.

Since this is clear as mud and I have everyone confused PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR THOUGHTS...
