Can't say that I've ever seen one really but yes if you like it then you should subscribe to it so you'll be sure to get all of them and at a better price than news stand prices.

Ya, I'll probably subscribe to it. You should try and find a copy. I think you would enjoy it. Takes you back to a simple lifestyle. Some really neat "How Too" articles. It was $4.50 a copy on my local news stand.

Great magazine.
The only one I know that can be considered an investment.  Worth just as much or more after you read it than before...look at the prices on ebay.
I've been reading it for years.
Graybeard - if you send me your mailing info, I'll send you my next one after I read it.  Should come the end of December.

Love it. It's the only magazine I subscribe to. I have every issue going back to the mid 90's. I have even written a few articles for them. If you have something they are interested in they will trade you subscriptions for it. I got four years free for the three articles I sent them.

That is one fine magazine. I love the 'home-grown-low-buck' attitude and look. One fine day I might send an article in and see if they take it. I buy mine off the rack and should subscribe. That and 'Fur Fish Game' are about all I would be interested in reading these days. A very good 'rag' as they say. Got a stack next under the endtable next to the bed. Typical wife comment at bedtime: "what are you reading about?" "Oh, how to build a houseboat out of pallet wood..." I'm making that up but you get my drift.

I love it and buy every issue.  It's my favorite magazine, some issues I've probably read 20 times.

I had a picture published and I'm thinking of sending in some articles.

I'm sure there is an article in at least one issue that deals with this subject!

I had an article about carp fishing published recently. If you saw it you can see a picture of my ugly mug and my wife each holding up slimy carp for the camera.

That's you?  You're a celebrity!
I think about that article everytime I'm at my favorite lake, when it floods there's a spot where the current goes real strong across narrow grassy shallows. Seen a lot of big carp in there, looks like easy catch with gigs.

I love BW magazine, BUT I wish that they would have bigger, more clear pictures, and if an article has any shop drawings with it that they be more professionally drawn, and not just someones scribblings. There is an article about how to make a 8 ga. black powder shotgun I'm interested in but the drawings are just to obscure, and messy.

Been reading Backwoodsman for years on and off sometimes off the newstand sometimes a subscription,  currently have a subscription usually take my read copy up to the archery range after the new one comes in.  If I find and article I cannot live without I'll keep that issue but most of the time I'm drowning in papers so if it's not to be kept its gotta go at least were I take 'em I know someone esle will get some use out.

I have purchased a few issues and read them...

I can't say that I have really looked into this publication, like you I come across it on occassion, its a hit or miss rag for me. Some months they are way above expectations and I think, "I gotta Subscribe to this..." And at other times I read it and I wonder why bother. So for the time being, I pre-read the issue before I buy it. Its to inconsistant so its not worth it for me to subscribe.

If you want a good solid publication, subscribe to FFG (Fur Fish Game)...IMO Hands down a better publication, I couldn't recommend it higher.

I just saw a issue of Back Home magazine a little different than Backwoods Home. two different mags playing off the close to the same name. both good.
Also Farm Show is good.
