More money, fame, a wife that is a knock out, and he's out playing around. And not on the golf course. Guess that shows ya, the banana doesn't fall far from the tree.(oops, sorry, make that apple!)gypsyman

I think you need to check into how much he is paid for playing golf, he WINS
some money at golf tournaments NO WIN, NO PAY except for a pentance
show up or qualifing money. You don't have to be an athelete to fool around on
your wife, and looks has nothing to do with living with a woman.

I think it's wrong when the press has a field day on an issue like this. Leave the family alone. The man is the first billionaire sports star, so if it comes to a divorce, there's no harm done to the wife. She'll get a handsome settlement. End of story.

Regardless of race, cash, religious beliefs, etc, people cheat.  I've known poor and rich men/women that cheated.  I've known young people and old people that cheated.  I've known blacks and whites that cheated.  I've known religious people that cheated.  It happens.

Regardless of why Woods strayed, he'll pay for it.  His wife has already kicked his butt, chased him out of the house, busted the window out of his car and watched him wreck it.

A divorce under these circumstances for Mr. Squeaky clean will cost him millions in endorsements, millions in a property split and millions in child support.

I can't imagine it was worth it, but that's his problem and his business.

Just cause the wife's a knockout, doesn't mean she's not a b****.

Of course, just because the wife's a b**** doesn't justify indiscretions.

I can't imagine it was worth it, but that's his problem and his business.

Frankly, his problem is on every news, tabloid, and forum, and whilst many will say that it's a private matter, I would say that the man marketis his presence for business to sell their stuff, he deserves all the PR he gets, good or bad.

If you want a quiet & humble life, than lead one.

Agreed......if you want to be a role model.......be a good one.  All the big money makers give up their privacy for their careers....it's a fact of life.

I will never understand "why" he got married in the first place if he wanted to play the field anyway!

I just find it amusing that she wacked him, if she did. Yes, he will pay through he nose for his indescretions.(pun intended)

How would you like it if you had a little fender bender and the photos were posted nationwide along with your name and exaggerated stories made up about what happened and why it happened?  Honestly think about it for a minute from that point.  And I don't want to hear this crap that when they became celebrities they gave up that right.  Just think about what if it was you!!!!!!!  Would you want a little privacy from the prying eyes and cameras, and from the people that jump to conclusions or outright lie then print it.

Things like this burns me up, I hate those people with cameras that follow you around.

I'll come back and say more after I cool down.

If i am not mistaken she was a MODEL that did a little posing in the nude before
they were married, not that means anything other than just because they
look good in pictures doesn't mean they are wonderful at home. I have a friend
that loves to play with the exotic dancers, told me he had found one he was going to marry, he got mad when i said their is a reason she is where she is.

Tiger will more than likly pay dearly, and may loose some endorsements for
a while but this is one item that is forgotten quickly. If he gets his game back together he will be forgiven very quick.
This is his doing and it is for him to undo, and does not need help from
a bunch of squeaky clean news people. It happens every day some where
and as long as he can play golf that is all i, for one watch him for.

No one was following him.  All the stuff came up from the police report, initially.

Luckily for many of us, we are not accepting the opportunity from various manufacturers to hawk their product for big money.  Nor are many of us actively marketing our skills in anything in particular in order to be thrust even moreso into the public realm.

His call.

I'm not saying that he gave up any rights by being a good golfer.  But when you get into "prostituting" yourself and your image as a business and career move, than you take the the good with the bad.

i.e. If its you're business to sell yourself as an endorsement, than you better "act in a way to" make sure your product is good worthy.

ncsurveyor:  I agree if he is endorsing a product it is his responsibility to assure the product is good, I know I would.

Actually I don't know the full story, not interested.

When I see this type of stuff on TV or in the papers I just go off.  I grew up in that world.  Did not ask for it, never wanted it, it was horrible.  So glad I got out of it.  Oh when I was a teenager it was fun to mess with the camera guys.  Drive out in the Mercedes or Lincoln, and go to Shoney's.  Park out front and go in.  Walk through the kitchen, jump into the car with friends and leave the camera guys sitting out front waiting for us to come out.  Then after a while they got smart and parked where they could see both doors.  (Try sneaking Boots Randolph's daughter, or Tammy Wynett's son, out through Shoney's kitchen).

When I started dating was when it really got to be a pain.  It scared most girls so bad they never wanted to go out with me again.  Always calling the police to make photographers move from in front of the drive.  I hated it.  I was not a celebrity myself, nor were some of the girls I dated.  Our parents were.  Yet we lived under a microscope.  Red Foley used to come into the drug store and sit and talk with us kids at the soda fountain.  Red told me if I did not like it to run fast and far.  I did.

Today when I hear of Poparattzi I ignore it, I can relate to how the victims feel.  Yes I consider them victims of unscrupulous thugs.  They can have no privacy with thugs around.

My Dad was a musician and played Mandoline with a big Blue Grass group, and at the Opry.  I started playing at the clubs in Nashville, and for the music studios.  Then joined a group traveling the country, lasted six months.  Joined the Air Force and left, never looked back.

How many folks in this world could have their lives under daily scrutiny? Guy makes a good living doing what he enjoys. The ladies find him irresistable, and no doubt  at some point he gave in to temptation. Have you looked at the caliber of women he has to turn away? The guy is doing pretty darn good lasting as long as he has. Upset over his salary? Are you kidding me? People don't have to pay him that much, they write the checks he cashes them, I haven't heard any stories of guns being used.

Why on earth do people expect him to be normal? Do any of the normal folks you know get paid to golf? Did they devote their entire lives to the game? Normal people don't do that. Normal people don't obsess over a game. You are not going to pay money to watch normal people play golf, cripes it's boring enough watching phenoms play the game.

Build it up and then knock it down, adults are no different than children. Now it is time to go build something/ someone else up political seasons a little far away still but Sarah Palin is available right now so we can look forward to a quick build and quicker demolition.

In breaking news the sun rose today, but analysts fear that it will set tonight, tune in at five for the latest on this breaking story.

He has no obligation to be honorable. The fact that he is a celebrity should make you expect less of him than the average man walking the streets, if not exactly the same. Not all of my neighbors and aquantences are honorable, truth be told most have less than honorable histories I would imagine.

Everyone should aspire to honor, but damn few achieve it. My point is, Tiger should not be expected to be some sort of example of perfection. We should not look to the TV, silver screen, or stadium expecting to find moral perfection. I really don't expect my mechanic to be an example to my children, he's very good at what he does, a genious at times. I would not be suprised in the least if I were to find out he's divorced, a couple child support payments behind and gets liquired up at a strip club every once in a while. He has still done a good job on the truck.

Shame on those who are willing to market the famous as heroes worthy of emulation in all aspects of our lives, and shame on those who buy into it.

Empty Quiver , I agree he is not obligated none of us are . We do so by choice . Why should we expect less of a man that chases a white ball and idoits are willing to pay him to do it ? What is an average man ? Average in what way ? Guess the way you say it he is average . He is at the top in golf and in the gutter with honoring his mirrage kind makes it average hugh ?
as far as your truck wizz do ya let the kidds watch and copy him ?

I think I said I didn't expect the mechanic to be a role model. Based on previous sports figures it would be highly unlikely for Tiger or any other sports celebrety to reach the level of moral example, at least as hard as finding a tele evangelist to hold up as an example.

The thing that makes people want to stand out in a crowd must be tied to the thing that makes them flirt with disaster.

True story.

Tiger Woods and Arnold Palmer were chatting after a round of golf one day and Tiger ( 21 at the time ) said  he wished he could just live a normal quiet life.
Arnold told him, you can, just give back all the money and just play golf for fun. Otherwise, it all comes as a package deal. Money, fame, notoriety, and the press.

We all see the choice he made.
Therefore the old saying....He has made his bed, now HE must "lie" in it.
I carry a single shot.
'cause it only takes one shot.
