So here is the deal. A distributor has to place a minimum order of two hundred (200) units for H&R to make a special run. Instead of offering your ideas for alternatives to my poll (which is sure to happen anyway, sigh) lets see if we can discover if there are actually two hundred of us who are willing to shell out the $$$ for a SINGLE CHOICE! Frankly I have my doubts, but if we can come up with an agreement I would be happy to broach the subject with Buds or some other distributor.
Right now we are not discussing configurations such as Target Classic or Ultra. This is simply a way to gauge folks choices for chambering. Configuration can come if we can even get beyond this. I have attempted to make some diverse choices in hopes of attracting enough attention, but I am not interested in debate.
What we need is a consensus, hence the poll. What we don't need are calls for: wildcat, obscure, or unsuitable chamberings. Sorry Larry, no unchambered barrels either. The liability lawyers would have a field day with that one!
The easier it is for H&R to churn a barrel out by simply altering the chamber or length, the more likely we are to see our dreams come true. Are my choices the best? Nope, not necessarily, but I have my doubts whether or not we can agree at all, and sadly, a lot of talk on forums is just that, talk. Two hundred folks could say, sure a .257 Roberts lights my fire, but we need two hundred to pay for one as well. Lets see how far we get with something as simple as this, shall we?
By the way, this is now posted with a link at nine other forums. Lets see how that works for a cross-reference.
