1) 327M X 26
2) 30-30 x 26
3) 30-40 K X26
Since wood is so easy to swap the factory should give buyer the option. ie, classic or lam, etc. Any choice.
If they ever do a 25-20 it should be in a faster twist than traditional, otherwise too limited on bullet weight. The 25-35 would really be the smart 25 chambering, c/w good (Williams?) open sights and scope mount, 26". (oops, now this would become my #1).
While at it they need to tune up the machinery to get better dimensions on wood/metal (the wrist!) fit and recontour the nose of the comb on the classic (take a look at the Winchester '85 buttstock and forestock, guys, please!). Peple wanting a 'traditional' looking single shot WANT a traditional looking....etc,etc.
If it looked right, and balanced right, then it should also be right in traditional calibers, like 32-40 (how did they miss that one, the important one, on the Target Model offering?)
There IS a market out here for a well built, yet affordable single shot. They can make some money off this if they offer the right product (study the demographics and what we want, build it and we will come).
