Lever Action JUBILEE

2003 Lever Action JUBILEE set for Nov 1 & 2 in Ridgway, PA.

Bring your Marlins / Winchesters / Savages & numerous rounds of ammunition (jacketed or cast bullets) to Ridgway Rifle Club, located on Grant Road in Ridgway, PA for some lever action silhouette fun!

- Bring as many rifles as you want! Some for show too!
- Two classes: iron sight / scope
- Use a different rifle at each distance if you want to!
- Entry fee: $5.00 per day - shoot one or both days
- Cartridges may be single loaded

Course of fire: NRA HIGH POWER RIFLE SILHOUETTE
chickens - 200m / pigs - 300m / turkeys - 385m / rams - 500m
40 shot match each day - 10 shots at each distance + sighters
Shooting position: freestyle

Saturday, November 1
10:00 - Range open for sighting in & practice
12:00 - 1st relay to the firing line.

Sunday, November 2
8:00 - Range open for sighting in & practice
10:00 - 1st relay to the firing line

Side match each day - Tres Banditos team shoot - Fastest time on five targets @ 300 meters

This is a fuunnn match, first and foremost. The main idea is for lever gun enthusiasts to get together in a relaxed atmosphere to talk about and shoot our favorite rifles at extended distances.

The clubhouse is available Saturday night for an overnight stay. Bring your sleeping bag / cot. There are local motels in the area within 5-12 miles as well.

I'd look pretty silly lobbing 38-40s @ 2-3-400M  :wink: Got anything for say 100 yards?

Unfortunately, we don't have anything at 100 yards for this match.

If you have a tang sight on your rifle, you would be surprised how well it would do at extended ranges with an accurate load.  I have a .44 W.C.F. '73 Winchester which does pretty well all the way out to 500 meters.... not as well as a .30-30, but well enough to have one heck of a lot of fun!

If you have an interest, I would encourage you to come to Ridgway and bring your .38-40. I guarantee that it will be a shooting experience that
you will thoroughly enjoy!!
