7600 police

Does remington still make the 7600 police; and is this gun legal to hunt with due to barrel length?  Good foul weather walking gun for the maine woods?

Yes they still make it. You may be interested in the 7600 carbine. I belive the barrel length is 18". Where abouts are you in Maine?

Turner area, I wouldn't mind a 7600 carbine as long as it has a straight stock, not monte carlo, for using a peep sight, also it seems that the new 7600's have the front ramp and blade as a unit, can't change blade height, unless I happened to look at it wrong; thanks for the reply, Jsal

I'm in the Waterville area. I'm not to sure about the new ones and the front sight. Good luck in your search.
