45-70 BUFFALO CLASSIC & MALCOLM SCOPE

My Poor Man's Schuetzen is coming together nicely. Very anxious to start shooting as soon as the Lyman 330gr 's get here. I had to basically "rework" the Leatherwood mount as it came from the factory. Lots of stoning to get rid of burrs and machine marks on sliding surfaces. I also had to remachine the H&R Buffalo Classic mount lower by .060 to get the rifle to boresight "flat" at 60 yards. Looks to be a decent mount for the $. Time will tell. Wish I had built this rifle 35 years ago like I wanted to!

+2 been wanting to do the exact thing that you have done. Why did you want to bore sight at 60yds?
