for 8 bucks an hour. In my opinion the unions were the problem with industry and especially the car industry in this country it was the greed and poor practices of managment. I look at even the small company i worked for. They would claim near bankrupsy every time the contract came around and right after they settled the big wigs would all give them selves big bonuses. Even today (im retired now) i hear another slap in the face to our local union guys in my shop. the company again is claiming that there in the red and need to make cuts. What do they do? they call for cuts across the board. Union guys layed off with nothing and company guys offered early retirements with a bounus of a cash payout at a rate of 3 years of there wage and a full retirement. WHAT A JOKE!  Is there a problem with unions? you bet!! the problem is there not powerful enough to really stop the ceos of these companys from running them into the ground for there own benifit. Id like to run down the street and tell everyone thats bitching about how high there power bills is just what this company is pulling. Sorry guys but it aint our unions that are ruining the economy. Just look in the paper everyday and see how many big shots in the car industry and banking have milked you of money. It sickens my stomach to hear the dribble about how union employees are breaking these companys because they have to pay them 25 bucks an hour. A wage that makes it BARELY within the means of a worker to actually buy a home when these same big shots are making 6 figure incomes and piss away more money on partys in one year then any two workers are payed. Sorry but theyve got you all brainwashed.

the one thing i will stand behind totaly is that the lifestyle we lead her in the good old USA is in big part due to the unions fighting years ago for a fair wage for workers.

I will actually agree with this in the context of the times at the beginning of the last century or the end of the 19th.

But what unions fail to grasp is you can only get so much blood from an employer. After a point you're making more $ at the expense of future hiring or shoving your employer out of the country all together. In other words they've priced themselves plumb out of work.

Unions may have pushed up wages way back when but if unions had disappeared 30 years ago there would be many more Americans working today in the industries they pretend to care so much about.

Lifelong FORD fan here. Nothing much against dodge or chevy except i have never owned one because i saw no reason to go away from ford. Here is a list of all the ford vehicles i have owned and how many miles when i sold them. Note of caution i buy and sell a lot because i like to restore old trucks and cars.

74 f100 360ci 220,000 miles when sold.
76 f150 390ci 210,000 miles ( currently owned )
79 f150 originall had a 302 in it but i street rodded this truck and put in a 390 stroker....150,000 miles on new engine when sold
89 f250 7.3 liter diesel......354,000 miles when sold, owned from new....no mechanical problems ever.
95 f150 302ci 130,000 when sold, owned from new.
95 f250 7.3 liter diesel powerstroke. 233,000 miles when sold, has since turned over 400,000 miles with new owner
01  f250 powerstroke 7.3 liter diesel, 188,000 miles and still going strong. (currently owned
03 f250 5.4 liter 102,000 miles and still pulling ( curently owned )
78 f150 4x4 boss 302 4 speed 100,000 plus (currently owned)

F 250 3/4 ton Gasoline! Gets 15 miles per gallon of regular gas and I dont have to spend $150 to an oil change! I had a diesel before and it got stuck in the front yard! I just wont own an obama mobile! will own a jap truck first!

I ve had a bunch of ford trucks. The inline 6 that used to be in em would run for ever. loved them motors. Mostly I bought used trucks or Broncos. Just dont like the way the newer ones look. Driving a Dodge Dakota now cause I got it cheap. I kinda like the full size ford 4 door trucks though.
I dont care what gun Im using as long as Im hunting
