When I bought my 95, the fat version was the only one available. As I wanted to be carrying it in Alaska for bear protection, I whittled the forearm and buttstock down considerably. The forearm wasn't that hard, a little time with a bench mounted belt sander and I was done. The butt was harder and I ended up having to fill in a place or two. I also pruned the barrel, and adapted a Williams WGR sight to mount on the rear scope mount holes which was before Williams thought of doing it. Changing the backsite required a front sight on a ramp, so I did that too. I ended up with a sweet "guide gun" way before they were invented.
Funny thing was I had done the work on the gun when I found out I would be moving to Alaska, but before I moved. When I got there I found that another guy had done almost the exact same thing with his 95.
