scope mounts for M-14

hey fellas just a question about scope mounts for my Norinco M-305 (M-14 clone) i got a mount from the dealer and mounted it acording to the info but the sucker has developed a wandering zero,  I sight it in lay the gun down, walk away to check the target, come back load another magazine fire a round down range and it's off 10 inches.  from what i can tell the big thumb screw isn't staying in place so i gave it a good twist with a wrench      ( and no i didn't strip the threads) and it seemed to stay put but i just got back from guiding today and the gun hasn't left the safe in two weeks but guess what, the screw was loose. if this keeps up I'll end up witha screw loose  . So if anyone has a solution drop me a line I'll be around 'til the 1st of november.

Try some nail polish or BLUE loctite on the screw before tightening. Don't overtorque the screw.

If it's one of the older-design single point mounts, it'll drive you around the bend, sooner or later.

One thing you can do to make it better (not necessarily make it WORK) is to mix up some Accra-Glass and bed the mount to the side of the receiver. It'll take out much of the wobble that's loosening your screw. After a while, the bedding will loosen too and you'll have to touch it up.

I can't advise whether the Springfield mount will work on the Chinese, but they're available for about $100 used. Two points always beats one.
