« on: December 06, 2009, 10:16:55 PM »
Yeahoooooo! We got snow! Guess I will be hunting tonight ;D

I was out couple hours ago, and it was warmer than yesterday. Watched prerecorded weather, nothing about snow. Just looked outside(car drove my slow) and its SNOWING! where was this couple weeks ago :(. I like hunting when the camo is off the background ;D

Well got to get my VW Jetta bob sled warmed up. Have a great day.

A little snow sure does make a big difference in hunting. I think animals are like people and they want to get out and play in it.

Here in IL we got 1 1/2" last night, too bad there's no hunting for me in this county. :( Stupid rules!!! >:(

Thanks, Dinny

Gonna get any more snow tonight?  We're supposed to get 6"-9" overnight here in N. IL. Maybe just maybe I'll go squirrel hunting on Wed morning, but not if I can't drive anywhere.

So how well does the .45 colt do against squirrels? Are you sure it is enough gun? :D

Funny!  But you don't even have a clue.  The only gun I have with me is the 20ga ULSH. It just might be enough gun, I hope.  I haven't shot any squirrels with the 45LC yet, but I have with a 20ga slug.  It was quite a few years ago when I made a "Texas heart shot" on a squirrel that was heading up the tree I was sitting up against. Parts of the tail came floating down on the breeze and I heard a thump somewhere not too far away in the woods.  Not too sure if it was my slug or the squirrels body. :o ::)

Sat out in the snow down yonder, it was great!  Saturday morning was a bit nippy, but the stay on stand the next morning being able to see a country mile was fun.

Lonny: sorry about not making it to the city.  I spent time doing some work at my folks' home instead of making a trip to New Albany.  My brother and the two others went to a gun shop in Corydon, then to Bass Pro.  I felt like I needed to get some things done around their house before winter.  They are 91 and 87, and need lots of help, but will only accept a little!   :-\

I kept your contact info, and after the first of the year when I get back down, I will try to link up with you then.

Saw lots of does, but nothing with antlers.  Good trip though--it's always good to be back in the hills!

Yeah well I wanted snow not extreme cold with the same old ground colors. I work in the cold so I am in no real big hurry UNLESS I GET SNOW! ;D

I am not sure how cold it was exactly this morning. But I work on Tractor Trailers in a big open parking lot. I asure you it was toooo cold at 5am. Would have been ok if the wind would have stopped.
