Nikon Omega BDC

I know this is a muzzleloader scope, but am wanting to use it on a Ruger #1 45-70.  My question is what is the muzzle velocity and BC of the bullet this scope is set up for?  Any other thoughts about this scope for this use would be appreciated.  If you have seen my other post it is obvious that I am doing some scope upgrades.  Well in this case it is from a sight to a scope.  I did not find much on the omega on here or Nikons web page so hopefully someone can help me out.

The BDC 250 reticle is calibrated to a 250 grain bullet pushed by 150 grain black powder charge.  Although they are intended to be a muzzle loader scope they seem to be a pretty good match to the 45-70.  My father in law has one on his H&R Ultra Hunter 45-70 and I've heard of others using them on 45-70's and slug guns.  It's a very nice scope and you just have to shoot your loads to see what ranges the holdover circles match up to.  It's definitely a closer match to the 45-70 than Nikon's regular BDC.

Here's a range report by Mac with his BDC250 using the Hornady LE ammo. I've got one on my H&R SS Ultra Hunter 45-70, but have only shot 100yds working up a good handload using Barnes Ruger data for the 300gr TSX-FB, the scope works great and the 5" of eye relief is much appreciated, also have the Nikoplex version on a 338 Winmag T3 Lite, excellent optics.
