at 4700fps  i think this would require fmj or a solid copper bullet not sure if normal bullets would hold together at that velocity cool idea though how bout a 17/300ultra mag haha not even sure if thats possible but fun to think about anyone have any rounds that they have ever thought about while not realistic would be awesome to own

Or a 90 grain Matchking at 3500 fps, it'd make a heck of a long range rifle. Maybe not terribly long lasting, but it would be effective way out there!

ive got a 7mm mag on an encore pro hunter ive always wondered what that would be like necked down to a .25 cal i know the 25/06 is really flat shooting so the .25/magnum would prolly bring down a satellite haha also i was a the local gun shop and the guy had a couple of .50bmg cases necked down to .17 cal

You're about 60 years too late with that idea.  A .25/7mm Mag would equal the old .257 Weatherby in capacity and performance - not quite a satellite killer.   Figure a 100-grain bullet at 3500-3600 fps and a 120 at 3200-3300 fps.  Not quite as fast as the .257 STW (8mm Magnum necked down) which was designed about 20 years ago.
