Good job.  That's a surprisingly nice piece of wood on that Ithaca buttstock.  A lot pretty than the one on my model 37 (not a deerstalker though).

That's a beautiful job. The refinish looks perfect.. What kind of sling stud is that on the Ithaca? It appears to be a carry strap loop.. The form of the loop is more of a doughnut as apposed to a tubular form for the normal detachable sling loops we normally see. The 94 is also really nice. Although the forearm appears to be from a later model.. What type finish did you use?  Good luck as now your sure to be hooked..

ya i think they turned out great. the 94 whas terrible it had rust pitting real badon the reciever but with the help of a wire wheel, and fine wet sanding it turned out. i was was kind of iffy about blueing it the cuz i herd that the pre 64's are a little tricky blueing. and on the stock on the ole 37 it is a stock and forend from a deerslayer 2 that was an amzing fit, and appearance.........and the 94 tha is the stock that originally came on it believe it or not....also on the ithaca i engraved "In Memory of Grampa" for the guy I refurbished it for(it was from his grampa)..

That certainly IS a good job. The 94's you are talking about were post 64 guns.
They were cast receivers and the silica content was so high they are nigh impossible to blue. Winchester actually plated them with iron and blued that.. They can be blued (at last in theory) but I have not seen it done. The reason I mentioned the stock on the 94 is that the forearm is a 'short' forearm and I didn't think it right for a pre64 gun.. Good job..

yes the 94 was an all original and i reblued along with getting some parts as well , someone took it apart and didnot know how to put it back together so they shoved it all in the reciever and put it in the "Original Box" and it sat...........the rest ir history........the next gun on the list is to refurb an old "Belgien Sweet 16" that is destroyed to the point of almost being trashed......this time i will take before and after pics tho...

I went to an auction a couple of months ago where a Browning A5 brought just over $100 and was overpriced at that. It appeared to me that it may have been in or near a fire and the pitting was atrocious. Some appeared to nearly penetrate the receiver. The springs were still OK so the hardened parts should still be functional but still theres a doubt.. Before and after pics are always great if nothing they help show folks what can be done.. Keep us up to speed.. thanks..

Great job Ironglowjr.

Those are some nice looking firearms and look better than new.  Kinda like vintage cars, hate to see one get trashed...love to see'em cleaned up and used.
