How did I do? Raging Bull 454
« on: December 08, 2009, 11:53:17 AM »
Christmas came early... Just purchased a used RB 454, 6 1/2 barrel, Polished stainless for $549. Doesnt look to have had many rounds run though it. Excited to try it out on some of the ferral hogs around here. Did I do ok on the price?

Sounds rather expensive to me for prices here at least. While I'm not a Taurus fan the RB guns all seem to be really good solid pieces. I think you'll be pleased with it.

There's two currently being bid on at gunbroker.com, one for $500.00 and another for $550.00. Both auctions are still going on so I suspect they'll go for a little more than that.  Looks like you did OK.

Even at $500 you still have to pay two day max shipping and FFL fees, so you are going to be over $550 easily.

Not a bad price at all.

This is a beast of a different nature. First shots were with Hornady 300 gr. factory loads. Pretty stiff but very addictive. Cantwait to try it out on some hogs or even call in some yotes. Next order of business is to scope it. Just trying to find the right combination without breaking the bank.
