squib. You made the statement, I was simply verifying it. Osama is no American, no doubt in my mind about it. The dems don't care, all they care about is control and power. What is your new avatar supposed to be???  POWDERMAN.  >:( >:(

it's a venom action figure... it's on my poster/tac board over my loading bench (I'm a nerd if you didn't catch that one too)

as for the bible- I don't trust any specific bible and can't decide on one in particular because: they're all worded different, with different side notes and such, different lay-outs, different denominations even--- I don't always go to the same church either- haven't settled yet.  I had a catholic bible or two but gave up on catholicism and got rid of them when I did.

speaking of again... what is that proverb?  I only have a bible to read when I go to church, which is once a month or so lately.  I'm not too quick to recite any of the passages.  powderman I think you probably have one nearby.

so one of us is a fool: me, you or brianb.. possibly all of us.  probably so in some regard.

back to the point of the topic now with the foolishness noted, we've all been "had" with obama in office.  we've all been "had" by divisive identity politics and political correctness chipping away at america for quite awhile now.  the political environment is harsh enough that only lobbying groups and the big media have a real pull on politicians.  well, as far as normal people go.  there are the puppeteers/elite/rich.  it seems obama is so super slick that he's made it up this far so fast that no one could see beyond the blur.... we're not sure what he's doing now but we've seen the path traveled by the flash and it's not looking pretty.  I think when we close the gap we're gonna see more damage done after the fact.

to bring this back to the BIG diversion earlier caused by personal attacks/insults... me and brianb were arguing the necessity of adding security details to public areas, not a few armed guards but co-ordinated police and military.  personally it scares me deeply.  he seemed to think that it had merit.  while I coldly stated that hardship wouldn't sway my opinion, he passionately stated an example from within his community of loss and violence- which led him to support some government encroachment on our civil liberties.  that's really where we should be again on this thread.

I still feel the same way now- no amount of carnage will make me change my mind.  I'm emotionally unavailable to all but the closest family, definitely for people that I don't even know.  BrianB is not so cold, and was upset due to some sick negligence (if not outright murder) in his community.  I'm ready to go back to the debate now that we're cooled off.  This evolved into obama/identity/security/societal degredtion and it's a big topic- let's get back to processing it.

Hey Redtail
After crossing the Neches River bridge on the right side is the old road to Vidor on the right side of that a short distance down there are a few houses. It is called Rose City I believe. There was a cable between telephone poles there is where the last hangings in that area were. They were hung with a rope over that cable.

i know excactly what your talking about.....VIDOR headquarters of the clan in the southeast. they have had 24 i believe it was unsolved black murders in and around vidor. ( i know no blacks were permitted and i bet thet still are not there) the sheriff actually stated for the newspapers that they would never be solved as long as he was sheriff. that was 1982 i think. when asked why he said "I WANT TO LIVE".

My oldest son lived in Vidor up until about 4 years ago my daughter is in Mauricville and and brother and bunch more in Orange. I graduated from Stark High in Orange.

so the sheriff wasn't in on it, he was afraid/in check?  how powerful is the actual organization, or is it just public opinion and a blind eye to the violence?

Well let me clear this up for you guys on what I meant. Up until powderman entered the scene on this thread there were 56 posts, all pretty well in debate over the topic of the thread. Disagreements yes, but that was expected. AS USUAL, powderman entered for one reason and one reason only. TO AGITATE the riff between Squib and Brian taking the insults to Squib. NO OTHER REASON. He has contributed NOT ONE point to this discussion but instead, has been on the attack and insult of Squib.
TO DATE! He has not made one valid statement regarding the thread. HE IS TROLLING!
Powderman, you have me on ignore. Thank you.  ;)

Squib there are many OLD SECRETS in this part of Texas, both on the black AND white side. It is not like West Texas, or the Panhandle of Texas. It is part of the "Old South". The statues on the Court House lawn in my home county ARE NOT of Abraham Lincoln. Here we recognized him for what he really was. A queer socialist. ;)
We down here are not as civilized as they are in, say Chicago. There, they simply pull up and blast away. There is more symbolism down here. A point not only made, but openly demonstrated so to speak.

the klan is not what it was...yet there are some places that do in fact exist that you better watch your mouth and your actions. the klan can and has been very deadly.
like i have said...many down there around and in vidor are not aware or will not admit the civil war is over.

when i left texas on the side of interstate 10 in an open field there were 2000 people in clan robes and three 100 ft crosses burning. that field was next to george jones's home on the right side between orange going to beaumont.

Why have his records been sealed in Kenya, and Hawaii.

Why have Americans going to Kenya looking for evidence been imprisoned and when released put on a plane to England, not the US.  With no wallet, no money, no passport, no papers of any kind, nothing.  And told never come back to Kenya.
Where is old Joe when we really need him?  Alaska Independence    Calling Illegal Immigrants "Undocumented Aliens" is like calling Drug Dealers "Unlicensed Pharmacists"
What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

There is no question of Obama's citizenship, except on the internet. I guess the biggest issue is who is the best Republican candidate in the next election? It would be interesting for someone to start a new thread as to who the best Republican candidate might be.  Forget Palin, as well as McCain. (Stick a fork in them, they are done)  In virtually every election over the last 20 years, I have thought the same question...Out of all the people in America, this is the best we have?

That's my point. We (the police) had to work the parking lots, and hallways back in the late 70s of a high school because the Klan, AND the Panthers were recruiting youngsters. It was a mess.

I think the thing that most of us should be concerned with is if the sitting President is qualified to occupy that office by the requirements of our Constitution. The only way that this will be verified is if a ruling is made in a Federal Court that he is not, and that ruling upheld by a Federal Appelate Court. Then the Supreme Court could look at the procedures used in the lower courts and decide if the evidence was properly admitted. Its my understanding that the Supreme Court doesn't looks at the merits of the case except in rare circumstances. I wouldn't hold my breath hoping this will happen. They have side stepped ruling on the second amendment for many years. This is another good reason why the members of that Court shoulnot receive lifetime appointments.

After the shoot out in NC. the klan lost its name in the law suit and seems to have gone underground somewhat. My friends in LE tell me they are still around and big time but the gangs from Mexico and other places are a larger threat and get more attintion now . Just outside Richmond there were cross burnings several times a year but it stopped after the shoot out mentioned .
If ya can see it ya can hit it !

Well they needed to go away completely. In the beginning they were formed for support against the carpet baggers, and had almost nothing to do with racism. That has long since passed, and it has become a dirty little secret.
