G-g-g-global w-w-warming, p-p-p-p-please!!!

It sure got cold in a hurry. Near zero with with winds gusting to 40mph. I'm cold after being out in that and I've had to turn the heat up and put on extra warm indoor clothes and lay down under blankets for a while. My feet are still cold!

Yeah, try minus 20, like it was here this morning. Old Dodge Dakota fired up like a champ. The new Mercury Mariner needed a charge, courtesy of AAA. Battery was waaay frozen. I'll start them up again before I go to bed. Another -20 forecast again tonight. SSsoups on! Chicken vegetable.

As a big contributor to global warming! I feel we are just not facing the facts! There is global warming and I produce enough green house gases to prove it ! just ask my wife.

Now if someone will just esplain where in heck the warming is, we can find it and send it to the midwest,  right now they could use some i think

Of course the rest of the story is we got two inches of rain, super high winds with tornado watches all over the northern half of state. Dead limbs are down all over as is one pear tree. Our electricity was off from around 11:00 PM last night until 6:30 AM this morning.

-6 here this morning no snow but the winds continuously build up the drifts. as i was running the snow blower for about the 5th time today i was thinking about them poor polar bears drowning up in the artic cause there just ain't no ice left.

I should probably apologize for my little tantrum on snow in Houston---That said, I won't----Well because right now it would fall on deaf ears--maybe frostbitten.
Some of you boys got what I call a whallop--big ol slap in the face.
I know you can handle it but is sure doesn't help make you warmer.
I hope all are holding up well and keeping warm.
It takes a better man than I to live up there where you folks live.

It's -25 right now here in North Pole.  I've got 6 to 7 inches of snow in the front yard.  Got my truck plugged in so it will start in the morning.  I went to the University and looked up the annual averages for the last 50 years.  The average temp increase was 7/10s of one degree.  That's Global Warming?

As for the CO2 problem, my son has a simple solution, plant more trees.  Trees absorb CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) and produce Oxygen.

    If it's big enough... save that pear tree!  Beautiful wood.  Really dense with a tight grain.  I've made some really nice plaques and gifts out of pear.

Kids get on the bus in about an hour. It's 12 with a wind chill of about -15 or -20. Got the fireplace going in the living room, thinking of getting the insert fired up in the basement. Wonder how cold it would be if we didn't have global warming? gypsyman

Anyone who believes in "global warming", shouldn't be allowed to live in any temperate, or tropical zones.  Sorry Sourdough, but that means a lot of them would have to be your neighbors.  I think you'll know what to do with them.

Fruit trees don't do well here.  The only trees that do well are Birch, Aspen, Cottonwood, and Spruce.  When it gets down to 50 and 60 below, the little moisture in the trees freezes and causes the tree to split open.  Come spring the trees that can heal those large splits will make it.  Those that don't will die.  Fruit trees will not survive.   I was looking at one of my big Birches next to my driveway this morning.  It has a split two inches wide, and five feet from top to bottom.  This one may not survive come spring, since it is sure to get worse during the winter.

Oldshooter:  Stopping the demise of the Amazon Rainforest would help CO2 increases, BUT is global warming real?  Do we really need to stop CO2 increases?  I don't think so.  The earth has been warmer before, and will be warmer again, without our intervention.  One good volcano blast and we could have another year or two with no summers, like back in either the late 1700s or early 1800s.  (There goes my memory again.  I know it happened, I just can not remember the year.)

And there has been no conclusive science to prove other wise! despite what algore says!

I live on land that is 30 foot above sea level here in the Gulf coast  and when the Gulf hits me in the behind I'll rethink my theory and stop contributing to "global warming" !
