Hey Lloyd,Finally ordered my Bisley 45!
« on: October 23, 2003, 08:18:05 AM »
After much savings of pennies and agonizing over Ruger's delays(?) in producing a 4.75" Bisley I thought I'd just get the 7.5" and shoot it awhile, see if I really needed a shorter barrel.I only have a .454" sizing die,so I will need to slug that barrel.thought I'd get Lyman carbide dies from Midsouth, they were $25.00 cheaper than Midway on the heater, sizing die, mould and dies that I want to get .Have you run out of beeswax yet?hehe! :coffee:

still got lots of bees wax you probably kept me in lube for a couple years! youlll like that .45 its still my favorite caliber and the one I ususally grab when something needs killing. the .454 sizer will work but a .452 should be on your sometime in the near future list. Check the size of your throats the .45s are notorious for being to small. I routinely send all my .45 ruger cyl. out for reaming. As far as dies go save a little more and buy lees I buy lee handgun dies for every caliber they make them in. I actually prefer them to any others and there half the price. One more lee thing you can do is to size your bullets with your lubesizer in .454 and buy one of the inexpensive lee sizer dies that go on your reloading press and run the lubed .454 bullets through a lee .452 It only take a couple minutes to push through a bunch. Let me know how that new toy shoots.
