Whats your favorite pet load? For the 204 Ruger in your Encores?   What Bullets work best and what powder?  Thanks.

I have the 28" Prohunter barrel in 204 and it really likes 27.1 grains of H4895 in Winchester brass and 40 grain Hornady V-Max bullets lit with Win small rifle primers.  Some say their 1/12" twist barrels (which is what the T/C uses) won't stabilize 40 grain cup and core bullets but mine does, to the tune of .25"- .5" groups at 100yds.

I use Hornady 45 gr. Spire Points over RL-15 in mine.

Currently I have 3 .204 Rugers on a Contender platform....all carbines and all 23". I have had great luck with several combinations of powders and 32 gr. bullets from both Sierra and Hornady. Right now my new favorite powder is RL-10x but I have also used RL15, WW748, H322. I shoot a ton of prairie dogs with mine so I get to stretch them out quite aways.

Very nice, if I knew I could get that kingd of accuracy with the 40 I would have to try one of these tubes.
