I need help..........Got bit by the Handi bug today

Well I was at my local gun shop today just looking around and not expecting to buy anything, but we all know how that goes.  ::) There sitting on the were several lonely little Handi rifles. #1 a 2007 model Target Classic in 38-55 for $200.............its sittin in the safe right now  ;D along with my other Target Classic. #2 A used 30-30 handi rifle which I have been looking for for quite some time now. Well asked what they were asking for it. The guy said well the tag says $175 but how about $150. I didnt even hesitate and said sounds good.  ;D They had several other Handis on the rack also. Hopefully after Christmas I may be able to score another good deal.

Sounds like you already have Christmas at your house.  Great buy on the 38-55 and good buy on the 30-30.  Now, how close to Montana is that little shop? ::)  DP

Wish I'd stumble across deals like that at my local FFL. I ask about any used Handis every time I go in there, but the Handi owners appear to be hanging on to what they've got around here. Congrats on some great buys!

Well, I am about 2000 miles from parts of Montana, so maybe I an only 400 miles away.............. If you decide you would like your money back for the 38/55 , I can certainly help you........

Used Handi's seem to command a bit higher price in the shops that I have checked around here as well.  The cheapest I have seen is $200 and that was for a sportster.

If i remember right the highest price he had on an H&R was $340 and that was for a new Buffalo Classic.

There's a shop here that still has a 38-55 or did 3 weeks ago, they have 300.00 on it new.  I still haven't worked with mine much yet so need to have 2 :-[.  DP

If the ole lady finds out I'll need to have more than 2 asprin.  :D Naw she doesnt care so long as I make sure the bills are paid.
