Howdy from Colorado
« on: December 11, 2009, 04:55:20 PM »
I'm new here. I'm an old trial lawyer and I've been building my own rifles since 1962. [I worked for a custom rifle builder in my youth.] I hunt, fly fish [I am the worst fly fisherman and fly tyer in the world -- maybe not, I met a guy in the Himalayas last year who might be worse at it than I am], climb mountains, run white water, ski, and ride horses. I'm pretty much a nuisance to all outdoor sports. Next to my family, my first love is mountain lions.  I track them, watch them, and study them [I never hunt them] and if I didn't love my wife so much, I'd marry one.  ;D

Thanks, I've been lurking here for a while and there seems to be a lot of expertise on various subjects.  I intend to learn and I hope I can contribute something of value on occasion.

Glad to have you check in.  I am Uncle to a Hoopa from Calif., who is blond, blue eyed, fair skinned, teaches belly dancing, and is stacked like a brick out house.  I am a senior uncle to a Navajo family by marriage.  I am the nephew of a full Cherokee by marriage.  I am Scots, Irish, English, meaning I can stand alone in a room and fight with myself.  If that wasn't enough now that your'e here,  I can claim that I am corresponding with a native American lawyer/mountain climber with a serious cat fetish.  No person could ever make that up or expect anyone to believe it.  I think that's why I sort of fit in here.  Let me know when you get to Arizona  and I will put on the coffee and have my wife (Sicilian/German) make fresh hot cookies.  Better yet we could run up to my sisters place on the Mogollon Rim and go vamint hunting with my brother in law( a good friend and the best red neck I ever met).
Who needs entertainment when things like this are everywhere one looks.

Welcome aboard, there are plenty of cats here in southern Arizona, but they are hunted here as they have attacked humans and bother the horses. 8)
