Congrats!  I know you're gonna love it.  And BTW, if she shoots well out of the box - whatever you do, don't mess with it!  Mine started out puttin em right next door to each other and then I decided to be too clever and try some "accurizing."  I had to re-accurize to get back near the out of box accuracy!! :(

The rear buckhorn is definitely useable. I used mine this past hunting season. The only thing I did was change the front sight to a Marble's 0.570" firesight. It's easy to change with a brass drift. I was able to get 1" groups at 50 yards with the factory buckhorn and front firesight. Post us a range report with the factory ammo, I'm curious to see how well it does. I've only shot handloads with mine.
