It's Finally Here*Graphic pic*
« on: December 14, 2009, 06:55:52 AM »
Come on you guys, let's get with it. I looked out yesterday and was thinking Crow Season starts today. At that moment 2 crows flew by and landed in a tree 200yds out. Only problem was a neighbors house was 200 yds past the crows. >:(  Think that was a sign it will be a fun season. :)

One of the members here is probably getting pretty hungry about now as I don't believe he got his deer. :'( I think the first of us to connect should send a "Mystery Package" to help with Christmas Dinner. ;D Hint he likes dark meat ::)

This one made it to the Autopsy Table. ;D Good Luck and let's see some pics.

I was but my samich and chips hit the spot ;)

I was just out back shooting my new toy, looked there was a flock of Geese. Well  I thought hmm 12x scope .357 mag semi jacketed, I think I could scare them real good. Sooo I kept on target practicing :D

Lonny, I have to admit I'm a bit envious of you having that 357. ;) Bet you are having fun. Is the barrel diameter the same as the 44? I thought they felt a lot lighter and smaller. I have the sb2 44 with sights and the old style syn stocks. Maybe that's why the new ones felt better. Think you can hit a crow with it. Better not try on them geese, you might loose it ;D What did you start feeding her? And did she like it? Enjoy her often ;)

I'll try to box you up some dark meat and get it to you before Christmas. ;D

 Bigvarmint

Muzzle end of the .357 measuse .75, .44 measures .82, .223 measures .89. So your feel was correct they are a touch lighter. Should be just as nice to carry as it is to shoot.

yesterday I was pretty much shooting to dirty the barrel. I have some cheap factory reloads, and some PMC rounds I was shooting. The reloads shot real nice groups, but they are light loads with 158 semi wad cutters. The pmc's  were semi jacketed shot ok not great, the couple Magtechs I shot were 8" higher then the rest and went off the paper. So I didn't waste anymore of them for now. After I shoot it a bit I plan it turning into a Maximum ;)

Yeah the Geese probably would have landed several miles if I could have hit 1. They were a ways up there. Crows? I will have to keep watching the field next door and see ;D

Edited;  I did forget to mention, The trigger is absolutely terrible. I think the pull on this one is somewhere around 20lbs :o ok maybe not that bad but it is very heavy. I have fairly strong hands, I tried one time to squeeze with my thumb and finger. I had to jerk a bit to fire it :-\ Really need to learn the trigger job rutine.

My .44 is an 2007 on the came on the SB2 frame with iron sites as well. But I need a reciever for the .223. So the .44 went on a spare SB1 and now wears a Boyds thumbhole and scope.

Lonny, I knew when this went back to the top your samich was probably wearing off. I got 20 breasted out and on ice for you and I saved all the feathers for when Dinny gets back. You'll have a darn good lookin HAT to wear this spring;D

Welcome olydraft, what kind of critters you like to wear? Skunk is also spoken for. With draft in your name, Im thinkin groundhog earmuffs may suit ya ;D or a nice scarf :-\

His turtle samich?! His hat might look good, but stink to high h###! Barely could keep it on anyone's head smelling like that.....Actually there's one woman it would make more attractive wearing that hat....Hillary! LOL

Thanks, Dinny
