This is my first post here as I joined specifically for this issue.
A friends husband passed away and she found a Marlin Model 93 with a 4 digit serial number on the bottom of the receiver just behind the forearm. The serial number does not have a Prefix or Suffix and the caliber of the rifle is not noted on the barrel. I am told by Marlin that it is either a 30-30, 32 Special, 32-40 or 38-55 which I will have a gunsmith confirm but can anyone help with information or a link in order to get some history such as manufactured date etc.......
