Montanan.........Now at least you don't have to worry about those grizzly bears!~ The last time I was in Kalipspell, a friggin grizzly came out of the creek next to the motor home and I never heard a sound or got a warning either. I jump back into that coach and blasted the air-horn several times. I am glad the kids were not outside.....Geez

Yep, looks like Old Man Winter has done his duty alright, man that is one heck of a lot of snow in those pictures. I bet getting out of the driveway could be a chore even with a 4 x 4 hey!

Tonk, it does get trying at times.  We are glad the bears are denned up for the winter months now, as I just don't care for meeting one out predator hunting.

Clint, most places that I call one is more likely to bring in a black bear.  But I have yet to call one of those in, but others I know have and its quite the rush.

Clint - Its not the bears I worry about when calling, but our large cats.  I have been face to face with one, on more than one occation and you worry about the rest of the litter if that happens.

I'm not real concerned about bears.

There is a season for Mountain Lions, but you need a license to shoot them unless in self defense.

Clint, your lucky that you can.  There are quite a few cats that I would put on our can shoot as a varmint predator instead of the furbearer list as well.  I think our Mountain Lions should be put on that list as well, since they have litters of more than one kitten to the litter, and hunt in packs just like coyotes.  I've always liked West Texas BTW, as I used to get down there when I was long hauling.
