What do you guys like to measure and load powder with in the field and sighting in.I could preload a few of those plastic tubes at home for deer hunting I suppose, I have a hornady scale for my other reloading.Just curious because I gotta get the stuff so I can shoot this thing.

Adjustable black powder (volumetric) measure.  This is very similar to the one I use.  We have a couple of diferent styles.  I hate my wife's, she hates mine!

http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat20712-cat603821&id=0064187216675a&navCount=1&podId=0064187&parentId=cat603821&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=9IS&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat601233&hasJS=true  (each number = 10 grains)

Most flasks have a 30 grain spout.  NEVER pour directly from the flask, use a measure.  Also, 120gr of most loose powder = 150gr of same brand of pellets.  Start with 70gr and work your way up until accuracy starts to fail.  80gr and a patched round ball will thump a deer at 100 yds.  Also I suggest you do your initial sight in at 25 yds or less.  Once you get close to the bull, move back and have some fun.  I've seen guns (mine!) shoot a foot low at 25 the first time.  You'd never even hit the paper with that at 50.

Good to know you like those I was thinking about that type with the round flask to fill it for sighting in. I thought maybe you could fill a couple of the green plastic things too with pre-measured powder and a ball and patch to take hunting, hopefully I wouldn't need them.LOL

That's exactly what I do, Steve...I always reload immediately while hunting,  refill the quick loads when it's quiet.  I use the straight thru type, pour powder in, set on muzzle and push the ball through and start with the long side of the ball starter, then use the starter to get the ball down the muzzle and switch to ram rod.  I don't use the quick loads while target shooting, but a bullet block helps keep the PRB's easy to start.  I refill it and have a cup of coffee while letting the rifle cool off.

All I have left is to pick up some powder,I got caps now.My manual says use regular blackpowder 2f/ffg or pyrodex rs or pyrodex select.I won't have alot of ease of availability for blackpowder around here but I can get select and rs where I get my shotshell powder for trap reloading. Is the select the best of the 2 in pyrodex? I read what their website said about using select with conicals and sabots and who knows I may try some sometime.
